My Thoughts After A Text From A Respected Friend. A Reflection on the 2024 Election

Uncategorized Nov 06, 2024

Hello All,

Someone I like and RESPECT sent a text this morning that really bothered me.

"I know you all think Kamala is horrible. I’m not a fan either but I think she isn’t as bad as Trump.

This is the beginning of a Facist (SIC) Society. Good men and women think that someone deplorable will make their lives better / easier and they can put up with the unsavory behavior if it doesn’t hurt them directly……"

After reading that text it hit me hard. For a few minutes I started to wonder whether I had made a decision with my support of President Trump. Many thoughts went through my head and wanted to record some of them so we could begin a conversation / discussion so we can all learn from each other. I have changed my position on many issues over my 54 years. I would like to say I am always 100% correct but alas, I am not. As I get older I know that there are a lot of things I don't know. I think Mark Twain said it the best:

"It’s not what you don’t know that gets you into troub...

6 Powerful Business Tax Deductions For 2024

taxes Nov 06, 2024

Hello All,

It’s that time of year again when business owners start to contemplate how to reduce their taxable income for the year. This quick blog post will reveal how you can get the IRS to owe you money.

Of course, the IRS will not likely cut you a check for this money (although in the right circumstances, that will happen), but you’ll realize the cash when you pay less in taxes.

Here are six powerful business tax deduction strategies you can easily understand and implement before the end of 2024.

1. Prepay Expenses Using the IRS Safe Harbor

You just have to thank the IRS for its tax-deduction safe harbors.

IRS regulations contain a safe-harbor rule that allows cash-basis taxpayers to prepay and deduct qualifying expenses up to 12 months in advance without challenge, adjustment, or change by the IRS.

Under this safe harbor, your 2024 prepayments cannot go into 2026. This makes sense, because you can prepay only 12 months of qualifying expenses under the safe-harbor rule.

Trump / Harris Debate - What He Said, What He Meant

Uncategorized Nov 05, 2024

After I watched the Trump Harris debate, I was inspired by President Trump’s response to some of the questions he was asked. As a result, I took the debate, I ‘channeled my inner President Trump’ and answered the questions as if I was him. I took it a step further and sent the entire document to the Trump campaign. I would love your thoughts and feedback.

Wes

DAVID MUIR: Welcome to you both. It's wonderful to have you. It's an honor to have you both here tonight.

LINSEY DAVIS: Good evening, we are looking forward to a spirited and thoughtful debate.

Question 1: Economy

DAVID MUIR: So let's get started. I want to begin tonight with the issue voters repeatedly say is their number one issue, and that is the economy and the cost of living in this country. Vice President Harris, you and President Trump were elected four years ago and your opponent on the stage here tonight often asks his supporters, are you better off than you were four years ago? When it comes to the economy, do you ...

An Open Letter To My Fellow American Voters

Uncategorized Oct 28, 2024

As someone who lived in California through Kamala Harris’s tenure as both Attorney General and Senator, I have had ample opportunity to witness her political trajectory. Now, as Harris campaigns for the highest office in the land, her candidacy deserves scrutiny beyond the platitudes and soundbites. Harris promotes herself as a fighter for justice, equality, and progress. However, her career reveals a record often marked by political opportunism, ethical lapses, and a disregard for both accountability and individual rights. Her “vision” for America leans heavily on expanded government intervention and regulation—a vision that undermines personal responsibility and could threaten the foundational principles that underpin our republic.

The Foundation of Harris’s Career: A Relationship Built on Political Favoritism

Let’s begin with the formative years of Harris’s career, which tell us much about her ethical foundation. In the 1990s, Harris’s relationship with then-California Assembly Sp...

My Response to The NY Times Editorial Board Article The Dangers of Donald Trump, From Those That Know Him

Uncategorized Oct 28, 2024

When a friend of mine posted this article on her socials, my initial 'gut reaction' was to discount it because it was from the New York Times. But I thought I owed it to my friends to actually read the quotes to understand their perspectives. I must confess, I am a fan of Donald Trump. I like what he did for America while he was President. I also do not understand the vilification of MAGA. MAGA stands for Make America Great Again!

HOW CAN ANYONE ARGUE WITH MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? Every American should believe in a Great America.

But, let me tell you something about The New York Times. They’ve been caught time and time again publishing inaccurate, biased, and misleading stories, especially when it comes to Trump and his administration. It’s no secret—they have a bias, and they push it every day. Let’s go through a few examples.

First, remember the Russia collusion story? For years, The New York Times pushed this narrative that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. ...

Last Minute Year End Business Tax- Saving Ideas

Released transcripts prove Adam Schiff KNEW there was no Trump Russia Collusion

Uncategorized Oct 21, 2020

This appeared in the Wall Street Journal on May 12, 2020

All the Adam Schiff Transcripts

Newly released documents show he knew all along that there was no proof of Russia-Trump collusion.

Americans expect that politicians will lie, but sometimes the examples are so brazen that they deserve special notice. Newly released Congressional testimony shows that Adam Schiff spread falsehoods shamelessly about Russia and Donald Trump for three years even as his own committee gathered contrary evidence.

The House Intelligence Committee last week released 57 transcripts of interviews it conducted in its investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election. The committee probe started in January 2017 under then-Chair Devin Nunes and concluded in March 2018 with a report finding no evidence that the Trump campaign conspired with the Kremlin. Most of the transcripts were ready for release long ago, but Mr. Schiff odd

My Recommendations for Nov. 2020 Election

This is the time of year that voters and organizations start the process of supporting or opposing November ballot measures.  Most groups make their endorsements based on what is best for them or their industry.  Some do it for political purposes, trying to show how “moderate” they are.  I base my recommendations on what is good for the people, conservative values and the Constitution.
