When a friend of mine posted this article on her socials, my initial 'gut reaction' was to discount it because it was from the New York Times. But I thought I owed it to my friends to actually read the quotes to understand their perspectives. I must confess, I am a fan of Donald Trump. I like what he did for America while he was President. I also do not understand the vilification of MAGA. MAGA stands for Make America Great Again!
HOW CAN ANYONE ARGUE WITH MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN? Every American should believe in a Great America.
But, let me tell you something about The New York Times. They’ve been caught time and time again publishing inaccurate, biased, and misleading stories, especially when it comes to Trump and his administration. It’s no secret—they have a bias, and they push it every day. Let’s go through a few examples.
First, remember the Russia collusion story? For years, The New York Times pushed this narrative that Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election. They had headline after headline, anonymous sources, so-called ‘bombshells,’ and it turned out to be a complete hoax. The Mueller investigation found no collusion. But did they retract those stories? No. They just moved on to the next hit piece.
Then, there’s the story they ran about his taxes. They claimed Trump paid only $750 in federal income tax, which was completely misleading. They didn’t explain the millions he paid in other forms of taxes or the way the tax code works for real estate. They crafted it to look like he paid nothing, when the reality is a lot more complicated. It was all about creating a negative headline, not reporting the full story.
And let’s talk about their reporting on COVID-19. In the early days, they criticized the Trump administration for restricting travel from China, calling it xenophobic. But then, later on, they criticized him for not doing enough. They flip-flopped based on whatever suited the narrative that day.
Another example? The New York Times ran stories saying he wanted to dismantle the postal service to ‘sabotage’ mail-in voting. This was absurd and completely untrue. The postal service has been struggling financially for decades, but they spun it as if Trump was personally attacking mail-in voting. This was purely designed to push a false narrative.
So, when you ask about the accuracy of The New York Times, I have to say, they’re not a newspaper anymore. They’re an opinion machine with an agenda. They twist the facts, rely on anonymous sources that never seem to materialize, and they’ve been proven wrong time and time again. The American people deserve better than that. They deserve real journalism, not biased narratives.
Now, on to the quotes and quotes taken out of context.
The New York Times is trotting out the same tired talking points and “un-endorsements” from a bunch of failed politicians. Let me tell you something about these so called administration insiders and experts. These are the same people who have been wrong for years. They’re the ones who got us into endless wars, shipped jobs overseas, and gave away American power. People like Dick Cheney, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney—they are the swamp.
And let’s not forget, nobody even likes Liz Cheney in her own state! She lost by a landslide. So, when Kamala’s bragging about their support, she’s showing you she’s got the backing of the establishment, the same people who’ve been failing this country for decades. And the New York Times is promoting that narrative.
And they want to talk about his former staff? Let me tell you, he ran the most successful administration this country has seen in decades. He cut taxes, rebuilt the military, crushed ISIS, and had the greatest economy ever. We were winning on every front. But when you start shaking things up in Washington, you make enemies. And these so-called “former officials” the New York Times is quoting?
They didn’t like that Trump wasn’t playing by their swamp rules. They didn’t like that he was draining the swamp, taking away their power.
When the NY Time throws out quotes by John Kelly and John Bolton. These are people who were part of the problem. Bolton wanted endless wars, and Trump wasn’t having it. John Kelly? He didn’t want change; he wanted business as usual in Washington. That’s why they didn’t like him — he actually put America First instead of the D.C. insiders.
The Times and the Democrats call Trump a “Threat to Democracy” and the quotes that he dislikes the Constitution. He loves the Constitution. He defended the Second Amendment; he appointed Supreme Court justices who overturned Roe v. Wade and protected religious freedom. The NY Times is just throwing out baseless attacks because they have got nothing else. If they want to talk about the Constitution, maybe they should look at Joe Biden, who’s been trampling on it with his executive orders and mandates.
Through their reporting, it is clear that they don’t understand the Constitution. when discussing Roe vs. Wade they have to understand the Tenth Amendment. It’s one of the most important amendments we have. Believe me, the Founding Fathers were very smart, very smart people, and they put this in to make sure the federal government doesn’t get too big and doesn’t control everything. The Tenth Amendment is all about states’ rights. It says that any power that’s not specifically given to the federal government in the Constitution is reserved for the states or specifically - the people in the states.
Back to the issue at hand - the Times.
When the NY Times starts name-dropping quotes from these old establishment figures, remember they want to keep things the way they are, and that’s why they support Kamala Harris. But the American people want something different. They want results. And that’s what Trump delivered before, and that’s what he’ll deliver again.
Kamala’s campaign slogan is “We’re not going back” and she’s right We’re not going back to the old, failed ways. She’s not a “new way forward”, she is the same old tired, disastrous Biden playbook. We’re moving forward, and the choice in this election couldn’t be clearer!
